I am honored and humbled to be serving as the Schilling Farms Middle School principal this year. I have been an educator for 34 years. I began as a special education teacher at all grade levels in Virginia, Arkansas, and in legacy Shelby County Schools. I served as a supervisor of special education in legacy Shelby County Schools from 2003 until 2008 when I became an assistant principal at Collierville High School. For the next six years, I served as assistant principal, vice-principal, and interim principal as we transitioned into a municipal school district. Being a part of the team that started a school district from day one was the opportunity of a lifetime. I served as Secondary Curriculum Supervisor and System Testing Coordinator for the new Collierville Schools district from July 2014 until I was appointed principal here at Schilling Farms Middle School.
Originally from Michigan, I have lived in the south for most of my adult life. I am a proud Coast Guard mom of my son, David. My husband Billy and I live in Germantown. My purpose as an educator is to always maximize every student’s potential. I am delighted to be with the outstanding students, staff, and families that make SFMS the school that is academically challenging, artistically centered, wellness oriented, and technologically advanced. Together we will prepare our students to become lifelong learners and productive, contributing citizens.
